In short: some outbound operator links are affiliate links. If you open an account through one, the operator may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not move a score — scores are finalised and recorded before any link is placed.

How this website is funded

GreenLine Review takes no money from readers. There is no subscription, no paywall and no donation button. The publication is funded entirely by affiliate commission from a small number of operators licensed by the Great Britain Gambling Commission. That is the whole business model, and we would rather state it in the first paragraph than bury it.

What an affiliate link actually is

An affiliate link is an ordinary link with a tracking code attached. If you follow one and later open an account with that operator, the operator's affiliate network attributes the referral to us and may pay us a commission — usually a share of net revenue, sometimes a fixed fee per registration. The price of anything you do on the operator's website is identical whether you arrived through our link, through a search engine, or by typing the address directly. You are never charged for using this website.

Every commercial link on this website is marked at the point of the link with the words Affiliate link, and carries the rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute in its markup, which is the standard technical signal for a paid link.

How we keep the money out of the scoring

  1. Reviewing comes first. An account is opened, funded, used and withdrawn from before anything is written.
  2. The six category marks — lobby depth, cashier speed, live tables, mobile build, support, safer gambling tooling — are set against a written rubric and recorded internally, dated, before any commercial discussion.
  3. Only then are links added to the published page.
  4. No operator sees a review before it is published. No operator has ever been offered a higher score, a better position or a softer criticism in exchange for a commercial arrangement, and any such request would end the arrangement.
  5. Where we have no commercial relationship with an operator we cover, we say so on that review. Where we do, the link marking says so.

Current commercial relationships

BrandLicensed operatorRelationshipOur score
talkSPORT BET BV Gaming Limited Affiliate commission 8.7/10
Hippozino ProgressPlay Limited Affiliate commission 8.2/10

Commission rates are commercially confidential, but they are broadly comparable across both operators. Neither brand pays for placement, ranking or wording.

What we will not accept

  • Payment for a specific score, ranking position or removal of a criticism.
  • Copy written by an operator and published as if it were our own editorial.
  • Any arrangement with an operator that is not licensed by the Great Britain Gambling Commission.
  • Any arrangement that requires us to omit safer gambling information, age restrictions or licensing detail.
  • Equity investment or board representation from any gambling operator.

Advertising standards

Where we promote this website through paid advertising, our advertising follows the same rules as our editorial: no targeting of under-18s, no urgency or scarcity language around gambling, no suggestion that gambling is a solution to financial difficulty, no claim of guaranteed outcomes, and an 18+ mark plus a safer gambling reference on the destination page. Advert copy always matches what the destination page actually contains.

Independence of factual claims

Licence numbers, account numbers and licensee names on this website are transcribed from the Gambling Commission public register and are not supplied by operators or their agencies. Each one is linked to its source so that you can verify it independently of us. A commercial relationship has no bearing on any of them.
